What attracted me to this piece was the youthful feel to it. It's very playful and the the way the colors and the disappearing of words really play up this feeling.

What attracted me to this piece was the uniqueness of it. I like the way the design chose to use design, animals, textures to make up the alphabet. Over all I think its a very creative type face.

What attracted me to this piece was the creativeness of it. They are brown lunch bags that have been design to make taking your lunch cool again! I just think that the monkey is a cute and catchy idea.

What attracted me to this piece was the use of color. I think that the type in this poster is interesting and successful. The color the artist chose to use is also a great. It really pops and brings this poster to life.

I thought this piece was very interesting. I like the way the artist used the bird as the head, then used the wrap and the sunglasses to specify it was a face. I also enjoyed the bold color choices that where used, he does a great job of mixing warm and cool colors. Overall it was the colors and the strange image that grabbed my attention and made me continue looking at this artist work.

I really enjoy this image, it is from the same illustrator that I chose to use for my assignment this week. I really like the way she uses bold bright color along with soft pastels. Her subject matters also very from soft images to harsh yet her technique work with both.

I thought this image was interesting the way they used type in the shape of the red cross. I also liked how the type starts as big and bold to really portray the important heading then decreases in size as the information gets less important. I think that using the red cross is a great way to get the message across since it is a universal symbol and is very recognizable.

I thought that this image was great. I really liked the contrast between the black image and the white background. They created our lungs out of trees which I thought was creative. The poster is for awareness of the destruction of trees in the Amazon rain forest, so the play on; tree's provide air and the lung I just thought was brilliant.

What attracted me to this piece was the humor behind it. It is an advertisement for Neosporin. I just thought it was clever the way they used a childhood game that everyone can relate to, and make him all healed because of one simple product Neosporin.

This is another student work from CMYKmag.com. I thought this website was very inspiring and a good resource for me. What attracted me to this piece was the use of the color along with an actual photo. The rainbow really carries my eye down through the image. I also like the hand written type face, it seems effective with the hand drawn rainbow.

What attracted me to this piece was the use of color, it has a dramatic effect in this image. It is all black and white except the hints of yellow throughout, I thought this neat. I also like the way that they words pile up to so that you can't read all but you can still read some, so the message is still getting across.

What attracted me to this piece? First it was the way they used type to create the jump rope this drew me in to look more into the image. The caption on the side is very interesting the poster is a promotional campaign about how fear has become a social issue with our current political unrest and our country at war. This causing American to live a constant state of fear, this poster is representing that this fear doesn't have to rule our lives.

What attracted me to this piece? I like the color they chose and the aggressive lines through out the piece. I enjoy caffeine and need it most days, but we all know when we've had too much and I think the hectic line movement does a good job implying the feeling. I also like the hand drawn type it goes well with the feeling of the cover.

I wanted to stick with the poster idea since that is part of our next assignment. I thought this poster was very eye catching. The child with head phones on draws you in automatically and get your attention. Then I wanted to read the caption and see what this poster was for. Very clever.

poster

What attracted me to this piece was the message it was sending. It's a poster done by an animal rights organization. I think the message is straight to the point. I don't think most people realize the cruelty that the animals endure in order to make someones garment. I think that this poster will catch your eye and make you actually think about that.

What attracted me to this piece is the truth behind it. It's straight forward, it gets the point across and it not sugar coating that smoking can kill you.

Pantone Painting

What attracted me to this piece was how different is was you can clearly see that is made up of something but at first your really not sure. Then after taking closer look it actually Pantone color swatches. The designer made many different designs out of them. Instead of just throwing the swatches away after they were not longer needed he came up with a brilliant idea to recycle them into a design.

Typo Crash"

What attracted me too this piece first was the colors. I didn't ever stop to read the words I just seem all the colors that I wasn't so sure went together. Then I seen the letter and the first one that I recognized was the K in the top picture. Clearly was a familiar color and font (Jack Daniel's). Then I put the words together, which are all things that "could" happen if you chose to drink with any of these alcoholic bevereages. I just though the concept was neat.

What attracted me to this piece was the overall image. I love the movie The Shining so this was hilarious to me. I thought Jack Nicholson face ripping through the paper was great.

What attracted me to this piece is the simplicity. If you have ever even seen Marilyn Manson you get this poster. It matches his eye completely, it's the simple and gets to the point, I enjoy it.

What attracted me to this piece at first was its unique colors. It's not your usual poster color, its kind of this gross brownish green color, I seen the blob in the middle but didn't really know what it was so I looked closer. I think that the overall execution of this is genius. The pollution coming out of the factory is actually stating all the effect it is causing to our planet.

What attracted me to this piece was the universal understanding of it. We have to idea what that symbols means but stick some poo on it and your definitely getting the hint or at least get you looking to try to figure it out. It was a Japaneses sign for parks to remind people to pick up after there pets. I thought it was funny how we have not idea what they symbols mean but the message is loud and clear.

What attracted me to this design was the color. Its very plain in simple but getting a very serious message across. Its a pastel blue and white so it seems as if it is trying to be sensitive about a sensitive subject. I think overall it works really well

What attracted me to this piece was the creativeness of it.
This designer was stuck, unable to get an idea, questioning everything. So, I thought it was great that something as a simple having his 4 year old child write this was so creative, and it solved his problem. It also turned out to be one of his favorite pieces, and she does not even remember helping him.

What attracted me to this piece was the riskiness of it. It's very controversial but it gets the point across just like the designer was going for. The designer did this for an Anti-torture campaign to show that people are still getting tortured in other countries. The way that he went about it was bound to get everyone attention and make you look closer at the cause.

What attracted me to this design was the bright color. I have seen this particular design all over the place before I stop to realize what they were bringing awareness to an issue which is AIDS in Africa. "Its an revolutionary organization conceptualized by Bono. Red is a union of business, idea and people" in their definition. I just thought it unbelievable how huge this awareness campaign went from Gap t-shirts to American Express credit cards.

What attracted me to this piece was the way a messages was suggested in the art. I like the way the artist incorporated the message in with graffiti and even has actual photos with graffiti on them as well. It has a cartoony look feel to it.
I'm pretty fascinated with graffiti style art, I just really like the energy of it.

What attracted me to this piece? I really like the creativity it is very unique. Most books all look very similar to one and other, so when there is one that has texture or is loud with color it really draws my attention to it. This book as you look closer you can change the type of ball that is on the cover, here it is a rubber ball, but there are other options as well. I just thought it was clever.

What attracted me to this piece was the uniqueness of it. Everyone remember those horrible school picture you had to take every year and for me I swear they got worse each year. How fun would it have been to make a yearbook like this one as a child, I thought it was good idea and fun for parents and the children to look through.

What attracted me to this piece was the creative was of advertising. When looking for a good image I sometimes catch myself flipping through books until something jumps out out at me. This how I came across this image, I just like its different way of expressing a message which is what caught my attention. Then the more you look at it you notice that there is a face in the letters as well. I thought it was fun!

What attracted me to this piece was the clever way they are showing the Saturn Hybrid cars. I like the colors and how they have the glowing showing you how simple it can be to "go green." I also liked the grass on the screens in the background as well it really pushes the point that they are good for the planet.

What attracted me to this piece was the unique way the artist choose to display these messages. It was a whole spread of different actors, actresses, athletes, musicians, and artist displaying a message through there line of work. The cd with the musician, the Letterman letters with the athletic, etc. I just though it was a cleaver way to say something.

This image interested me because of the bright colors. The covers are just as colorful as the bind of the book. Its loud, energetic, and playful. That is what caught my eye to this particular image.

This design really caught my eye when I first seen it. I like the idea that it has a little everyone horizon, no matter where you live. I also like all the color and how they go from warm (reds) at the bottom to cool (blues) towards the top. I thought it was a great design and well thought out.

I love this. Its so creative, it eye catching because it's so unusual automatically making you look at what they are advertising for. The designer also the ad in all different location like the streets to the supermarket letting us know their audience is pretty broad.
