I believe you've got the right idea on lines and rhythm. Everything you said about the ad makes sense to me. I just want to emphasize again your comment on how, regardless of the seriousness of the subject, the text is "playful" and confident. Even though Reba would seem to be the main focal point of the ad, I was drawn more to the text in the upper left. Added balance to the superstar.

I think that you showed the difference in your lines very well. some of them remind me of a heart monitor.
